Online applications are invited for an 11PA Locum Consultant post in Paediatric Endocrinology and Diabetes. The locum post is initially for a 6 month period, although it is anticipated that the trust will have approval for a substantive post in paediatric endocrinology & diabetes within the next 6 to 12 months.

The Trust is a major teaching centre for the University of Southampton providing secondary paediatric diabetic care for the local population of Southampton. All major tertiary paediatric specialities are provided including endocrinology, cardiology, ENT, gastroenterology, nephrology, neonatolgy (level 3), neurology and neurosurgery, orthopaedics (including spinal), paediatric intensive care, paediatric and neonatal surgery, respiratory medicine, allergy, radiology and oncology/haematology. The hospital offers ample opportunities for undergraduate and postgraduate teaching and excellent facilities for research and clinical care. Applicants be on the GMC’s Specialist Register.

Applicants who are within three months of obtaining their CCT in general paediatrics and paediatric endocrinology on the date of the AAC may also apply.

Applicants will be expected to demonstrate their competence to communicate in spoken and written English.
